Thesis Statement
On August 26, 1920, the 19th Amendment (giving women the right to vote) was ratified, which was a turning point for the women's rights movement. This led women to get better jobs, have a voice in politics, and influence more laws to be passed in their favor. Over time, society saw women as stronger, more powerful individuals and more equal to men.
